Testimonials

César Aguilar
Countertenor - COAA 2015 Participant
Looking back on my career, so much of it traces back to the summer of 2015 at COAA, my very first summer program. Performing a wide range of operatic scenes taught me to step into a character quickly, work closely with directors and colleagues, and bring stylistic clarity to every piece. Those skills prepared me for every professional role I have performed since. Today, as a professor of voice at UDLAP in Mexico, I still draw on the tools I gained at COAA in my teaching every day.
Marjorie Maltais
Mezzo-Soprano - COAA 2010 Participant
COAA was the very first summer program I attended as a young artist. Being able to explore a variety of operatic scenes rather than focusing on a single full role allowed me to stretch my artistic range and build practical performance skills. The international faculty was exceptional, and the connections I made there led to mentorships that continue to guide my career to this day.
